Toei Kyoto Studio Park or The Toei Uzumasa Eigamura is a theme park and film set in Kyoto. The set refers to Edo period. Many Japanese movies were filmed here. The visitors can enjoy the ancient atmosphere, including the shows. If you visit this theme park on weekend, there are more shows than weekdays. The ticket covers the show and exhibition in some areas. Some attractions must pay additional fee. You can also enjoy dress in samurai, ninja and geisha and get photographed.
Access
From JR Kyoto Station
- JR Uzumasa Station (200 yen, 13 minutes), 5 minutes walk.
- JR Hanazono Station (200 yen, 11 minutes), 13 minutes walk
From Randen Arashiyama Station
- Randen Katabiranotsuji Station (Tram) (210 yen), 5 minutes walk
- Randen Uzumasa-Koryuji Station (Tram) (210 yen), 5 minutes walk
*Randen One day pass is 500 yen (Adult), 250 yen (Child)
If you travel from Osaka, you can follow my instruction.
- Umeda Station (Hankyu Kyoto Line) to Saiin Station. Some trains run directly from Umeda Station to Saiin Station which takes 1 hour. Some trains needs to interchange at Katsura Station but take less time than direct train about 15 minutes. Hankyu Tourist Pass and Kansai Thru Pass covers Hankyu line.
Get off Saiin Station (Hankyu Line), turn right. You will see Lawson, then cross the road. Walk 150 m. Sai Station is on the right side.
Take the tram and get off at Uzumasa-Koryuji Station (210 yen). Kansai Thru Pass also covers randen line.
When get off the tram, you will see Koyuji Temple. Cross the road and turn right follow my yellow sign and go straight.
Go straight until you see the junction, turn left and go straight.
Buy the ticket at the front. I bought Kansai Thru Pass so I got the discount coupon. Gave the coupon and show Kansai Thru Pass to staff so I got 200 yen discount.

After pass the entrance gate, you will see Toei Anime Gallery. Toei Animation is a Japanese animation studio owned by Toei Company, produced popular anime such as Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, Slam Dunk and etc.
Toei Anime Gallery gathers anime posters, figures and has new anime trailer.
There are temporary exhibitions. The souvenir shop is on the 1st floor. The price is reasonable. I bought lucky cat mini wallet, the price is cheaper than buying from other sightseeing place in Kyoto.
Go to the upper floor. It is Kamen Rider Series. If you are big fan, you will love this attractions

Move to 1st floor and get out of Toei Anime Gallery Zone. They are Meiji Street and Shirakabe Street which have Japanese ancient house. There are shows and other attractions. Some shows or attractions require an additional admission fee.

Show is in Japanese language. If you don't understand Japanese, it's ok.
