One Day Trip in Guangzhou, China (Day2)

I visited the attractions in the city on day 1 so my day 2 plan was out of the city.  I departed to Baomo Garden in the morning and Shawan Ancient Town in the afternoon by booking private charter car. I booked car on Klook website. Fortunately, my chauffeur was the same person as my day 1. I contacted the driver by wechat. As I mentioned in previous article, wechat has English translator. You can also find license plate of driver on Klook website one day before the departure date. The price did not include the meal, guide and parking fee. My all parking fee on the 2nd day was 20 CNY so I needed to pay in addtional.

If you use public transportation, take metro to Shiqiao Station (line 3), exit B. Then, take bus no.67 to Baomo Garden Bus Terminal 宝墨园总站.

Baomo Garden is Lingnan-style garden and hugh. It was peaceful and good for avoiding the busy in the city. The adult entrance fee is 54 CNY. Senior aged 65 and over free admission (shows passport). If you would like to visit both Baomo Garden and Nan Yue Yuan (Garden next to Baomo Garden), the special ticket price is 65 CNY. I visited only Baomo Garden because this garden was hugh and Shawan ancient town was my afternoon plan. 

I spent half an hour from city to Baomo Garden. Once I arrived the entrance of the garden and got off the car, the merchant went straight to car for selling goods. My chauffeur helped my to reject them.

This below photo is entrance gate. The ticket is on the right side. The staff will ask you if you would like to the ticket for Baomo Garden with/without Nan Yue Garden.

I arrived the gaden at 9 a.m. on weekday. I saw only few people but mostly visitors came here after 10 a.m.

I walked in counterclockwise direction. I saw the a souvenir shop near the exit gate. Other shops was not opened yet.

I visited the Hall and saw Justice Bao. I ever watched the tv series of Justice Bao when I was young.

It was beautiful and clean garden. There were plenty seat areas and toilets. Toilets were clean.

There were restaurants inside the gaden but it was too early for having lunch for me. You can try ice cream in unique design

I stayed here for 2.15 hours. You can take more time if you would like to rent clothes and phototaking. I moved to next destination, Shawan Ancient Town. The restaurants in Baomo Garden were not interesting so I had lunch at Shawan Ancient Town

I visited this area on weekday and there were not many visitors. 

Don't worry about getting lost. It is easy to find the way back. I saw many visitors wearing chinese traditional clothes and took the photo.

I tried fruit tea & grape drink. It was delicious and made me fresh for sunny day.  

I walked back to find the restaurants and selected wonton soup. The price was about 20 CNY. If you are worry how to order, you can take photo of menu in front of the restaurants and showed to restaurants. You can pay money by wechat or cash. 

I spent time at Shawan Ancient Town about 1 hour and went back to hotel. I paid the parking fee to chauffeur when arrived the hotel. I took some rest at hotel. On that time was only 3 p.m. so I went to other attractions by subway alone. I will write the detail in the next article.
