Morinaga Angel Museum MORIUM Factory Tour - Yokohama, Japan

Morinaga & Co., Ltd. will open a new tour facility "Morinaga Angel Museum MORIUM". The name "MORIUM" is a combination of "Allium" and "Morinaga" which means "place" in Latin. Company business is food, mainly confectionaries such as Hi-Chew canday, Chocoball chocolate, Morinaga Cocoa, Twig and etc.

Morinaga Angel Museum MORIUM is located at  the Tsurumi Factory (Tsurumi Ward, Yokohama City), will be opened on 12th January 2022. This museum introduces the history and technology of Morinaga & Co., and the thoughts of the makers of the products. The visitors can experience the value that MORINAGA creates (UM). The factory is focus on Twigs and Hi-Chew minis products.The tour is free of charge but reservation is required. The reservation starts from 13th December 2021.

Factory Tour

1. Video and exhibition tour

The huge screen is 3m x 15m. The video presents the history of Morinaga & Co. and the confectionery manufacturing process, including the features of each product, technology, manufacturing method, and secrets of deliciousness. The exhibition that can only be seen here are huge models of products and valuable past advertising materials.

2. Production Line Tour

You can observe a part of the confectionery manufacturing and packaging line such as Twig and Hi-Chew mini through the window.

*Please note that the machine of the tour course may not be working, depending on the production situation.

3. Looking back on the tour

There are tastings and experience programs for recommended products.

Access

Take bus from Tsurumi Station to the Tsurumi Factory.

Take the JR Keihin Tohoku Line "Tsurumi Station" East Exit or Keihin Kyuko "Keikyu Tsurumi Station" West Exit and take from Bus Stop no. 1 and 2.

Get off at "Morinaga Factory". It takes about 10 minutes to get to the 4th stop.

The entrance for visitors is on the right side of the factory. After getting off at the bus stop, cross the pedestrian crossing, turn right with the factory in front of you, and walk along the wall.
