Kyoto is in Kansai region and near Osaka prefecture. The major sightseeing places in Kyoto are Kiyomizudera, Arashiyama, Fushimi Inari, Kinkakuji Temple and etc. Kyoto Station is main railway station of Kyoto. Shinkansen also pass this station so many shopping places including the restaurants are located around this station. I used to visit the sightseeing places in Kyoto but this time I went to other prefecture and passed this station on the way back to Osaka. I went for some shopping and had lunch.

Porta Underground Shopping Mall
Porta is underground shopping mall connects with Kyoto Station. There are west and east area.
The underground is shopping street and have many restaurants. Actually, I would like to have lunch here but meal price was quite high and some restaurants had long queue so I went to Isetan on basement floor instead.
3 Coins shop is also located at this underground shopping street. There are many branches in Japan. 3 Coins are 3 coins of 100 yen so the price of products are 300 yens + tax. The shops sell gift shop, housewares, accessories, bags and etc. Some items have specific design for specific area. For example, the eco bag in Osaka has pattern and design of sightseeing places in Osaka. When I went to Kyoto, the bags also have design of sightseeing places in Kyoto.
Aeon Mall
There are supermarket, food court, restaurants and specialty stores. Daiso (100 yen shop) is on the 4th floor.

Kyoto Isetan Department Store
The big department store sells clothes, housewares, stationery, cosmetics, food and etc. The supermarket and some restaurants are on the basement floors (B1F and B2F). I had lunch here. The price is acceptable comparing with the restaurants at underground shopping. The shops sell bento, souvenirs, desserts. Other floors sells women's and men's wear, household products. The 11F has also has restaurants.
