One Day Trip in Nantou, Taiwan

Sun Moon Lake and Cingjing Farm are one of popular sightseeing places in Nantou, Taiwan. If you visit Nantou, Tours always take you to Sun Moon Lake and skip Cingjing Farm. I ever reviewed Cingjing Farm in previous review. The visitors may stay at Sun Moon Lake or Cingjing Farm for 1-2 days. You may doubt if it is possible we visit both place in one day. Yes, it is possible. I visited both places in one day by car rental with chauffeur. 

I visited Cingjng Farm in the morning, then Sun Moon Lake. It takes about 1.30 hr. from Cingjing Farm to Sun Moon Lake by car.

The ticket is for senior citizens who are older than 65(included), pregnant, disabled(Disabilities and their one necessary companion)and children between 3 to 6 years old (When child's ID is not available, ticket applies to child who is taller than 100cm but shorter than 120cm).

Sun Moon Lake Pass

I just walked around Sun Moon Lake and had lunch, did not take the boat. On that day, it's heavy rain.

I visited Wen Wu Temple which is in Sun Moon Lake area. 

Wenwu Temple is located at the shoulder of mountain where is on the north of Sun Moon Lake. It was built in 1938. People worried the water of Sun Moon Lake might cover Longfeng Temple and Ihuatang of Shuishotsun, they built Wenwu Temple. The Wenwu Temple is 2 (Longfeng Temple and Ihuatang) in 1. Wen Wu Temple Area

Wen Wu Temple is a big temple and beautiful. In front of Front Hall, there are 2 lions (on the left and right side). I would like to take more photo around this temple but the weather was not good. 

Turn back, you can see Sun Moon Lake.

In front of Wu Sheng Hall.

After pass Wu Sheng Hall, it is Da Cheng Hall. I like this area. Architecture is very beautiful and elaborate. You can go upstairs to observatory to see the view, please mind the step.

When I went down, I bought some souvenirs here, It is not expensive. For example, one box of fruit jelly is NTD 100. If you visit Sun Moon Lake, please do not miss visiting Wen Wu Temple.
