Royal Park Rajapruek - Chiang Mai, Thailand

Royal Park Rajapruek is located in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
The International Horticultural Exposition was organized at Royal Park Rajapruek in year 2006 for celebrating of the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty’s Accession to the Throne and His 80th Birthday Anniversary.  Now, here still open and welcome for the visitors.

Royal Park Rajapruek is not far from Wat Phrathat Doi Kham so after I visited Wat Phrathat Doi Kham, I came here.

After bought the ticket, I took photo around there first because the scenery was also beautiful, then I went to the entrance and showed the tickets to staff.

This park is very huge. You can walk to see each place by yourself but it may take more time and may miss some nice place so I chose to take tram to see around first.
Other alternatives; Golf cart 600 baht per hour and bicycle 20 baht per hour.

The ticket counter of tram is not far from entrance. When pass the entrance gate, go straight and turn right. Follow the sign to tram.

Tram fare: Adult 20 Baht, Child 10 Baht
Tram departs every 15 minutes. Start from 8.15 a.m. and the last tram is 5.45 p.m.

In the park is divided into many zones such as orchid pavilion, bug zone, corporate garden, international gardens and etc. There are 7 tram stops. I could walk down to see interesting spots and waited for the next tram. The last stops is exit of the park.

I like the international gardens.
Luckily, I brought hat and eyeglasses. The weather was very hot but when on the tram, it was not hot. You may bring umbrella.

The highlight spot  is Royal Pavilion
