Nago Pineapple Park - Okinawa, Japan

Nago Pineapple Park is a small theme park about pineapples in Nago, Okinawa. Pineapple is tropical fruit and popular in Okinawa. It takes about 2 hours from Naha to Nago.  You can enjoy the scenery by pineapple cart, buying some souvenirs. 

Access

- Bus no.111 from Naha (Naha Bus Terminal / Asahibashi, A14 ) (90 mins, 2100 yen) or Naha Airport (105 mins, 2190 yen) to Nago Bus Terminal. Timetable, click here.
- From Nago Bus Terminal, take bus number 70, 76  to Meio Daigaku Iriguchi (名桜大学入口, 20 minutes, 390 yen, 5 buses/day). Timetable, click here.

Alternatively, you can rent the car or buy one day tour which includes transportation cost, admission fee. This help you save travel cost, please follow my previous review.

Ice Cream Shop near entrance gate. Of course the recommended ice cream flavour is pineapple. You can buy it after get off the park.

Waiting for the queue to take the cart. It is an automatic vehicle so the child can enjoy driving. The audio guide provided have Japanese, English and Chinese but the staff did not ask me and chose Chinese for me. 

On the way, you can see beautiful flowers e.g. orchid, pineapple flowers. There are different varieties of pineapples. The cart will make a temporary stop (5 secs approximately) for photograph. It is an automatic camera so please prepare yourself and smile. The photo is not free. You can see your photo where you get off the cart. If you don't like it, just skip and go to souvenir shops.  

This photo was taken after get off the cart. You can also take giant pineapple photo on 2nd floor.

Nago Pineapple Park has so many many souvenirs. You can also taste it such as juice, snack.   

My Comment: Nago Pineapple Park is suitable for kids, may not for adults. The park is small but souvenir shops are attractive (various kinds of souvenirs). I bought one day tour and spend less time here so it's ok.
