EXPOCITY - Osaka, Japan

EXPOCITY is the large complex in Northern Osaka, Japan. This complex consists of entertainment area and shopping center. Ferris Wheel seems to be landmarks of shopping mall in Japan. Redhorse Osaka Wheel is also landmarks here. The height is 123 meters. Lalaport EXPOCITY is the shopping place in EXPOCITY. 

Access

From Namba, Umeda, Shin-Osaka Subway Station

- Take subway Midosuji Line to Senri-Chuo, change to Osaka Monorail to Bampakukinen-koen Station, 2 minutes walk.
Fare from Senri-Chuo Monorail to Bampakukinen-koen Station: Adult 250 yen, Child 130 yen


From Osaka Airport (Itami)

- Take Osaka Monorail to Bampakukinen-koen Station, 2 minutes walk. (Adult 370 yen, Child 190 yen)

Get off Bampakukinen-koen Station. 
EXPOCITY is opposite to Bampaku Kinen Koen (Expo '70 Commemorative Park). 

*Kansai Thru Pass covers monorail.

Walk to EXPOCITY, the Ferris Wheel will be in front of you.
You can enjoy panoramic view at Redhorse Osaka Wheel from its gondolas with transparent floors. Opening Hours: 10:00-23:00.

VIP ticket :8000 yen/gondola

NIFREL (next to Pokemon Expo Gym) is a living museum based on the concept of touching the sensitivity. This fability allows visitors enjoy the art, experience the living creatures.

On the right side, entertainment area for kids called ANIPO. It is amusement zone.

Osaka English Village (next to ANIPO). This is an edutainment area, allows visitors enjoy learning English. There is admisison fee based on the number of lessons.

 

Pokemon Expo Gym (Close to Ferris Wheel) is one of entertainment area in EXPO city, produced by Pokemon.There are an official shop and drink stall.

Gundam Square (Shop & Gundam Cafe)

 

Lalaport EXPOCITY has several shops and restaurants such as Uniqlo, Zara, ABC Mart, Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Loft and etc. In my opinion the shops inside Lalaport are not much different from other department stores but this place is good for family with kids because there are mini amusement park, entertainment area and parents can enjoy shopping.
