When enter to the palace, I saw the long gate and saw the poster of Dae Jang Geum or the Jewel in the Palace. You can learn the history especially Joseon dynasty. There are several halls

The 4th photo (right & bottom) is Gyeonghoeru Pavilion which is surrounded by the pond. It was built for special events such as for feasting foreign envoys.

Throne Hall Compound is where the king granted audiences to his officials. It is the largeset hall in Gyeongbokgung Palace. The sculptures around the hall are also interesting. The area around the hall is big.

Let's see inside the hall. This is The throne inside Geunjeongjeon Hall.
I often saw this scene on the Korean series.

These are only some areas of the palce. In fact, the palace is very hugh. You can spend the half day here for your trip but my schedule was tight so I could only walk to some areas and took photo.
