    Hi Bluemoon

    This will be my first time with my family to vist Japan by ourselves from April 23 to 30. I plan to stay in Tokyo Shinjuku for 3 days then buy JR Pass to Hokkaido around 4 to (5 days maybe.) The main cities our family will visit is Hakkodate ; Lake Tayo; Noboribetsu (hell Valley), Otaru and Sapporo

    Hope you can help me with my questions

    1. I want to stay in Hakkodate for one day do I have to to reserve seat if i use JR Pass; also how do i find the route and the timetable.

    2. After i stay in Hakkodate I want to go to Lake tayo and Noboribetsu (Hell Valley), but the hotel was out of my budget due to the season for family of 4. I found that there are hotel that my family can afford in Muroran *Hotel Route Inn GrandMuroran" my questions is can i go to Lake Tayo and Hell Valley from my Hotel? Does it takes long because we can only go by public transit. Do I have to take 2 days in the Muroran hotel or seperate them?

    3 Does it take long if i leave from Muroran to Sapporo ; or I should leave from Lake Tayo or Noboribetsu?

    4. If i want to go to Otaru from Sapporo how long does it take by public transit and what buses or train should i use? Where can i find the timetable?

    5 When i leave from Sapporo back to Shinjuku I want to stop by 1 stop because its too long on the train for my kids should i stay in Sandai ? Is it on the way back? or do you have a suggestions because i can't find the route from Sapporo to Shinjuku.
