(Review) Chisun Hotel Utsunomiya - Tochigi, Japan

Utsunomiya is the capital of Tochigi. Getting from Tokyo to Utsunomiya takes 50-60 minutes by train. Utsunomiya Station is where to transfer to Nikko line. It takes about 40 minutes to Nikko Station so you can plan for one day trip. Review about Nikko, click here.

I have ever been to Nikko 4 years ago. This time I did not visit Nikko but wanted to find some hotel which is located on the way back to Tokyo. Room rate of hotel near other train stations (shinkansen) is high and location is not convenient so I chose Utsunomiya. Chisun Hotel Utsunomiya is opposite side of Utsunomiya Station, only 1 minute walk from JR Utsunomiya Station, West Exit.

After get off Utsunomiya Station, turn left and take escalator down to the 1st floor. Cross the road. McDonald's and bus stop are next to hotel. Check-in counter is on the 1st floor.

Check-in time:  15:00
Check-out time: 11:00

I booked a premium superior twin room. Room rate was 9,000 yen approximately per night, included breakfast. I booked the room via Agoda and used the promotion of credit card so I got some discount. My total price was 8,400 yen.
