(Review) Hotel Maritime - Copenhagen, Denmark

Hotels rate in Scandinavia are high comparing with other areas in Europe because of high cost of living. VAT in Denmark is 25%. I chose the location first and then considered the price. 

Hotel Maritime is located in the center of Copenhagen, Denmark. You can walk from hotel to famous sightseeing spots such as Nyhavn, Christianborg Palace, Strøget Shopping Street. This hotel offers competitive price and provides free tea, coffee and cocoa. Access 

Take the M2 metro line (yellow) to Kongens Nytorv Station. It takes 15 minutes from Copenhagen Airport (Lufthaven Station).

Get off Kongens Nytorv Station. Cross the road and you will see Danske Bank / Finanscenter, go straight. 7-10 Minutes walk from station to hotel.

Turn right at the2nd junction. Hotel is on your left side.

I booked family room. Room is not big but not too small. Bed size is not big comparing with hotel in Asia but it is comfortable. There are 4 beds but one bed seems an additonal bed. Heater is next to window. There are 2 windows.

 

There is a desk separating between 3 beds and one bed. A flat TV is on the wall (I forgot to take a photo).

A bathroom is very big. There are 4 towels and 4 sets of soaps and shampoos. Shampoo is in a small pack. If you think it is not enough, you can bring yours.

 

I think bathroom is really too big so there is limited space for putting 3 luggages near beds. Before I slept, I put these luggages in the bathroom instead.

Breakfast room is on the first floor. Breakfast is western style.

 

Free tea, coffee and cocoa are available all day in breakfast room. There is not kettle and free drinks in the room.

Hotel Maritime is near Kongens Nytrov station where is next to department store named Magasin du Nord. Opening Hour: 10:00-20:00. Supermarket is on the basement floor. McDonald's is beside Magasin du Nord. There are toilets in McDonald's. You can go straight from there to Strøget Shopping Street. 

There is changing of the royal guard at 12:00 (noon) everyday at Amalienborg Palace.

Nyhavn is new harbour where is famous sightseeing place in Copenhagen. It is canal, entertainment area and one of departure point for canal tour. The colorful houses are attractive.
