Travel from Arlanda Airport to Central Station - Stockholm, Sweden

After I got my luggage, I chose taking the Flygbussarna Airport Coach to the city because it was cheaper than express train.  The price was 99 SEK per one trip for adult and 198 SEK for round trip. Bus departs every 10 minutes. It is cheaper if you buy online ticket but can also buy the ticket at the machine at the airport.

For online ticket, go to the website

http://www.flygbussarna.se/en/arlanda and choose Arlanda-Cityterminalen

Select number of ticket. Click add to basket or buy now. Once you finish buying the ticket, you will receive confirmation by email. Please print out the voucher or save QR code in your mobile and scan the barcode when you get on the bus. The ticket is valid for 2 months.

The entrance gate of the bus is at the front. If you purchase roundtrip ticket, please keep your voucher. You need to use it again when return to the airport. It takes about 45 minutes approximately. If the traffic is bad, it will take more time, may be 1 hour. The bus stop is at no.1 (Terminal 5, Arlanda Airport). When you get out from the exit gate after pick up your luggage, turn right and go straight a little bit. There was free wifi on the bus. If your luggage is big, stow them in the storage space below. If your luggage is small, please take them on board the coach. One of my luggage is 24 inches, I thought that should in the storage space below but staff told me to take it on the bus.

On the bus, there were bus route and specified the estimated time of arrival. My destination was terminal station (Cityterminaled). The chauffeur announced the name of each bus stop but the sound was not clear so it would be better to look at the map by yourself.
From Cityterminaled, could connect Centralen T-Bana Station.
When return from Cityterminaled to Airport, the bus stop is at Gate no.3

If you would like to go back to Arlanda Terminal 5, it is not the last stop. At first I thought that Terminal 5 is the first stop if travel from airport to city and should be the last stop if return to airport, right? In fact the bus will stop at Terminal 5, 4, 2/3 respectively. Be careful!

Arlanda Express

Arlanda Express is faster than taking the bus but it is expensive. It takes about 20 minutes between Airport and Stockholm city. The ticket is available on website, ticket office, vending machines and on board. Buy ticket online is cheapest and on board is the most expensive.
If you buy the ticket on board, there is surcharge 100 SEK per ticket. If you buy it online, there is promotion or discount but it is not refundable. Trains depart every 15 minutes. There is free wifi on board.
