Kaohsiung City where is the main port city of Taiwan, is located in Southern Taiwan. There are direct flights from Bangkok, Thailand to Kaohsiung International Airport such as China Airlines, Thai Airways and Air Asia. I went to Kaohsiung with China Airlines. Air Ticket price was 14,xxx Baht for round trip. Price was high because of the long holiday in Thailand. My maximum luggage weight was 23 kgs per bag (2 pieces) for depature flight from Bangkok and advance seat reservation was free. The advance seat reservation of my departure flight from Kaohsiung was not free, had additional charge so I selected the seat when check-in online (48 hours before departure time). If you would like to sit together with your family, select the auto check-in on China Airlines website or go to check-in counter at the airport.
China Airlines check-in counter opens 3 hours before departure time. I had check-in online already so it took time not more than 15 minutes. So fast! After finished check-in and dropped luggage, I picked up the sim card.

My departure time was 18:35 and arrived Kaohsiung at 23:00 (planned). Duration was 3:25 hours but actually spent only 3 hours so arrived Taiwan earlier.
