Baan Bangkhen - Bangkok, Thailand


Baan Bangkhen (บ้านบางเขน) is new sightseeing place in Bangkok. It is opened in January 2017. If you get bored with department stores, Baan Bangkhen is an alternative hang out place. There are museums, cafe, chic photo shooting corner. Opening time is 24 hours but the food stalls open around 10 a.m.


Access

Baan Bangkhen is on Phahonyothin Road, opposite to 11th Infantry Regiment.

Bus stop is in front of Baan Bangkhen

BTS Mochit Station, take bus no. 26 34 39 59 503 524 to 11th Infantry Regiment (30 minutes).





Few parking lot. You may take the bus instead of driving or visit there early in the morning.

Admission is 20 Baht. You can bring the coupon to get free a bottle of drinking water or use it at cafe or restaurant.



Baan Por Luang (บ้านพ่อหลวง) dedicated to the late King Rama IX. This house gathers commemorative stamps, coins, banknote, old photo. I have never seen some old items before. 





Coca Cola Museum - The Coca Cola art wall is in front of the museum. This house displays everything about related Coke products such as bottles, mugs, dolls, key rings, dolls and etc.







Tree houses - You can go to the upper floors of tree houses. It is wooden house so this makes me think of my childhood. When I was young, I saw many wooden houses.




The old Chevrolet car. There is toilet for men at the back of red car. 




The Display of old goods. This below photo displays the old packaging of detergent, candies and other daily products.  



Old radio and TV. I used to see this kind of old TV and radio before. TV is big like a carton. I also have tape cassettes.


Moreover, there are displays of old clocks, medicine shops,  classroom and barber shop. 

The art on the walls for photo shooting. 


The Cafe and restaurant - There are display of old items and selling food and drink. You can use coupon here (you get when purchase the entrance ticket). You may redeem for a bottle of drinking water or use for food discount. 


Food Stalls - You can take here or take home. If you take home, there is an additional charge about 5 baht. The food price is not expensive and the taste is good.
