Wakayama Fuji Hotel has 2 building which are Daiichi (1) and Daini (2). I will review Wakayama Daiichi Fuji Hotel. Please make sure that you go to the right building. I choose Daiichi Fuji Hotel because of the location and reasonable price. Check current room rate, click here.

Hotel is near Wakayamashi Station (Nankai Line, Kisei Main Line). 5 minutes walk to hotel.
Get off Wakayamashi station. FYI, there is taxi stand (タクシーのりば) in front of station.
Cross the road and cross the road again, follow yellow sign and go straight. Turn left. The hotel is the red circle. Hotel name is written in Japanese so remember this ワカヤマ第1冨士ホテル
Check-in from: 03:00 PM
Check-out until: 10:00 AM
Wakayama Daiichi Fuji Hotel, I booked 2 twin rooms. On the website does not describe whether the room is smoking or non-smoking room so I requested the non-smoking rooms in the booking. After check-in, I went to the room. I smelt the smoke so I asked the staff to change to non-smoking room but he said that all rooms are smoking room. I used air refresher and opened the door (cannot open window). The another twin room was normal, not affected by the smoke (depends on luck).
Room is small as per Japanese standard. TV is near the bed but TV program is not interesting. I like to watch weather forecast in the morning and at night.
Hotel provides free tea, kettle, free wi-fi
There are shampoo, bath foam and hand wash.
Wakayama Daiichi Fuji Hotel is in good location, close to Wakayamashi Station. It takes 1 hour from Kansai Airport. There is supermarket and 100 yen shop at Wakayamashi Station. Aeon Mall Wakayama is only 2 stations from Wakayamashi station. Get off at Wakayamadaigaku-Mae Station (Nankai Line), 1 minute walk. Aeon Mall has supermarket, restaurants, and food court.
