Funabashi City is in northwest of Chiba, easy to access from Tokyo. Apart from shopping around Chiba station, Funabashi may be alternative. There are several shopping malls such as Ito-Yokado, SEIBU, Aeon Mall, Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport TOKYO-BAY.
From Chiba Station / Keisei Chiba Station
1. JR Chuo/Sobu Line Local Service or Rapid Service (310 yen, 15-20 minutes).
2. Keisei Chiba Line to KEISEI-TSUDANUMA Station (17 mins). Change to Keisei Main Line Limited Express for Keisei-Ueno to Keisei Funabashi Staiton (5 mins). Total 26 minutes, 320 yen)

Ito-Yokado is part of Seven & I Holdings Co. (i.e. 7-11, Sogo & Seibu) so you can find 7-11 products in the supermarket, including other brands. There are many stores in Japan. Ito-Yokado does not have only supermarket, also sells cosmetics & drugs, daily goods, clothes and etc. I like this shopping mall. Clothes are reasonable price or cheap during discount period. Do not forget to bring your plastic or cloth bag. The supermarket charges 2 yen each for plastic bag. Food Court is on the basement floor
