City Hall - Stockholm, Sweden

Stockholm City Hall (Stadshuset) is one of popular sightseeing place in Stockholm, Sweden.
The tower of City Hall has three crowns and opens only in summer. I went to City Hall around 10:05 a.m. but the tour started at 10:00 a.m. (5 minutes late) but staff allowed to join 10:00 tour group. I purchased the ticket and joined the tour. The inside and outside City Hall are both interesting. There is small garden at the back of City Hall.

When arrived at the front of City Hall, went to toilet first because in Stockholm was hard to find the toilet. The toilets in City Hall are free of charge. Then, bought the ticket.
Follow the yellow sign. There are public tours and private tours. Public tours are available in various languages such as Swedish, English, German, French, Chinese (Mandarin).  Please check timetable on website. On Saturdays, tours from 11:00 and on are limited due to wedding ceremonies. Should arrive at the ticket counter at least 10-15 minutes before tour time. There is toilet near the entrance.

I will not write in detail about the history as guide provides good and clear explanation in tour. It is worth to buy the ticket. I will show some highlight in this tour. When you buy the ticket at the counter, the staff will provide the pamphlet. I chose the Thai version. It was A4 paper and had explanation of each room. If could not catch up what guide explained, just read this pamphlet after went back to hotel

Gyllene salen (The Golden Hall) - It is banqueting hall. This room looks elegant and beautiful.

Tour took about 45 minutes. Small souvenir shop and toilet are near the exit gate. When finished tour, took a break at this garden before having lunch. The atmosphere was good especially on sunshine day. If you don't buy the tour, you can sit in the garden and enjoy the nature. For me, this may only one time visiting here so I decided to buy the ticket and it was worth.
