Shopping at Night Market Thapae Gate, Chiangmai, Thailand

Thapae Walking Street (ถนนคนเดินท่าแพ) or Sunday Night Market starts from Thapae Gate along Ratchadamnoen Road, is famous and large walking street in Chiang Mai. The night market starts from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. every Sunday. If you would like to visit Saturday Night Market, please visit Wualai Road (ถนนวัวลาย). Many Thais and foreigners visit here. Other events also are held at Thapae Gate.

Access

Public Transportation: Red Car (Fare starts from 20 Baht) or can walk from Night Bazaar.

If you visit around 5:00-6:00 p.m., it is not much crowded but after that it is busy street.
This night market sells local products such as handicrafts, clothes, food, bags and etc.
The price is reasonable. There are plenty of food stalls and various goods. It is really a long walking street. 

Wat Phan-On (วันพันอ้น) is temple located near Thapae Gate, has golden chedi 
The visitor can pay respect to the Buddha and also enjoy the food around the temple area.
